"The Double"
Because if you haven’t seen it…you need to see it.
Jeter: 'Everybody makes mistakes' | yankees.com: News
Derek Jeter may seem like he has mastered how to maneuver in the bright lights of the big city, but the Yankees’ shortstop is ready to admit that even he slips up from time to time.
Jeter appeared on Wednesday with FOX News Channel’s “FOX and Friends” and said that despite his often glossy public image, there are occasions when he does not pull everything off in his life perfectly.
I bet sometimes even Jeter rolls his eyes and says, “Give me a freakin’ break,” when he reads articles about himself. Because give me a freakin’ break.
Sox a possible AL destination for Thome - Peoria, IL - pjstar.com
“I sat with Jim’s agent the night the Phillies beat the Dodgers in the playoffs,” Chuck Thome said. “(The agent) said if he had to guess the four teams Jim might be going to, it would be the Yankees, Detroit, Baltimore or Texas. But Jim would look at the Sox (first).”
Oh, Papa Thome, why do you have to go around telling reporters things like this? Why do you have to say things like “Yankees” and “Detroit”? Wah. Heartbreak, sadface.
(Baltimore hahahaha I could deal with Baltimore, as if that gets Jim any closer to his World Series ring. Texas is a new one on me. Random.)

GIVE ME A FUCKING BREAK.
Getting What You Deserve

A slightly more balanced take on the Girardi quote…we can always count on Poz for level-headedness, at least if Snuggies, Duane Kuiper, and Fleetwood Mac are not involved.
“Mr…
Deserves has nothing to do with it
“Mr. Steinbrenner deserves another championship. That’s why I wear this number. We’re trying to do this for him.” — Joe Girardi
As we confront the possibility of the Yankees winning a World Series, I keep thinking back to Girardi after the ALCS win. Let’s not even make the relative deserving argument about whether he deserves it more than (for instance) the long-suffering Royals fanbase. In what world does he deserve it?
Deserves. George Steinbrenner deserves another World Series title.
Screw George Steinbrenner.
