Dear anyone but the Yankees,
Please give this man a contract. I can’t take it anymore.

Wish Granted: Buehrle to Manage Cardinals?
White Sox general manager Ken Williams, who once joked that he should hang a Cardinals jersey in Buehrle’s locker, told reporters he’d be OK if Buehrle jetted away for a day during spring training.
“I’d give him a day off to do it,” Williams said. “I think it would be hilarious.”
This must happen.

This came up in a Google image search for Jon Garland (shut up).
I swear, every time I GIS for something baseball related, Thome comes up.
1. I approve of GIS’ing for Jon Garland.
2. I approve of Thome showing up all over the place.
3. Therefore, I approve of this post.
(Except I don’t approve of that thing under Jim’s lip, which I have been complaining about for months on end now. What the hell, Jim? I can find you a caterpillar if you want one so badly.)

This is … amusing.
I have this saved somewhere and I look at it every time I need to laugh, because…well, look at it.

Mel ponders the eternal question, “HOW DID THE BOSTON CELTICS PLAY BASKETBALL WITH YOU ALL OVER THEIR FLOOR?”
If Jim Thome isn’t the nicest guy in baseball, he’ll do til the other fella shows up.

Sox a possible AL destination for Thome - Peoria, IL - pjstar.com
“I sat with Jim’s agent the night the Phillies beat the Dodgers in the playoffs,” Chuck Thome said. “(The agent) said if he had to guess the four teams Jim might be going to, it would be the Yankees, Detroit, Baltimore or Texas. But Jim would look at the Sox (first).”
Oh, Papa Thome, why do you have to go around telling reporters things like this? Why do you have to say things like “Yankees” and “Detroit”? Wah. Heartbreak, sadface.
(Baltimore hahahaha I could deal with Baltimore, as if that gets Jim any closer to his World Series ring. Texas is a new one on me. Random.)
