Summer 2008, restaurant, “Kickin’ It,” smitten, I’ve told this story before.

How did you get into 3?
They were just always there. My parents came of age in the ’70s, it’s what I heard. I do have to say I can blame The Eagles for the fact that I listen to them as much as I do after it was pointed out to me in a book that The Dan referenced The Eagles in “Everything You Did.” I know that’s how I got beyond their well-known singles.

What is your favorite song by 4?
Lately, “Générique,” but my standard answer is “All Blues” and that’s a close one.

How many times have you seen 9 live?
Cero

What is a good memory concerning 10?
Driving around aimlessly with Pam listening to Frozen Ropes and Dying Quails and singing along

Is there a song by 8 that makes you sad?
They have some sad songs, but none that make me sad to listen to, no.

Oh God. I’ll give you a few — the Hell Freezes Over version of “Hotel California,” “Certain Kind of Fool,” “Most of Us Are Sad,” “Take the Devil,” “Waiting in the Weeds,” “Center of the Universe,” “The Long Run,” “Nightingale”

How did you become a fan of 10?
They were featured on TWiB last season right before Frozen Ropes and Dying Quails came out. I was born in 1987 so I am obviously already familiar with Peter Buck and was willing to give them a try on that basis, as well as the whole “baseball” thing. And I’m glad I did.
