I’m on my mother’s computer right now (it’s connected directly to the printer, which unfortunately refuses to network with my computer, which is running 64-bit Windows, so, here I am) and thought you all should see this picture that she has as her wallpaper.

If we’re Facebook friends and you want to see Momoko pictures, go check my feed. Otherwise, I’ll post some tomorrow. I’m tired.

It shouldn’t be legal to be that cute.

A Jamestown bonus!
I met this handsome guy at Beavertail today. His name is Nogu, if I heard his mom correctly. He’s (obviously) an Akita, he’s 11 years old, and he has a broken toe.
Some people — okay, most — probably find it odd, but I have to talk to basically every dog I see, if their people are okay with it. Nogu’s mom and dad definitely found it odd when I came up to them and asked if I could talk to their dog, but when I told them I’d had an Akita for twelve years, it was like we were old friends.
I love Akitas. It was more than just Yoshi, though he’s obviously still my favorite. My mom used to work at a kennel and I met probably a half dozen Akitas through her, and some more when there was an Akita expo of some kind at the Crowne Plaza six or seven years ago. A lot of people are afraid of them, but generally, they are very nice, patient, stoic dogs. You just have to approach them right and respect their wishes if they don’t want to talk to you.
I asked Nogu’s mom if, when he broke his toe, he just acted like nothing happened. She said, oh, yes, he kept on running and he never cried or anything. That is how they are. When I told her how if Yoshi didn’t want to have anything to do with something — having his nails clipped, for instance — he would just get up and leave, as if to say, “Thank you for offering, but I am not interested,” she said that’s exactly how Nogu is.
Aaaaaaand I miss Yoshi.
