“You hear it ticking over, trotting, having a little canter here and there,...”
– Douglas Adams on the harpsichord in the first movement of the fifth Brandenburg Concerto. I have never heard more wonderful Baroque music, nor have I read more wonderful words about it.

"THE MEANING OF LIFE" IS NOW AVAILABLE ON NETFLIX...
I am a horrible terrible awful person because I love the Mr. Creosote sketch, even though everyone else I know either wants to throw up or does throw up after seeing it. You know you’re morbidly curious.

I am at the coffee shop on campus.
It’s mad overpriced in here, but they have free Wi-Fi and the best bagels in town. I’m sitting upstairs now in the lounge with my hot chocolate and my bagel. And since I’ve been in here, they’ve played Springsteen’s “Born to Run,” Tom Petty’s “Break Down,” and now they’re playing Seger’s “Turn the Page.” ...

I told myself I'd go to bed at a reasonable time.
It’s 12:35 in the morning and I’m not sleepy. Well, so much for that.

That deep, authoritative voice worked better when he played Bill Paley. Oliver Platt’s impression of Nixon was dead-on, though, so there’s that. So the movie: I liked it fine. I liked that it was mostly linear, and I loved...
